Job Description

The chairman is responsible to the Lodge Secretary.

Responsible to produce at least five Monaken newsletters per year.

Responsible to make sure the publications are in the Lodge members' homes in a timely manner to promote Lodge events.

Responsible for maintaining Lodge web site following National OA protocols.

Provides technical support as needed to membership operations.

Responsible for updating the Lodge website with information provided to him by the Lodge Officers and the Committee Chairs

Responsible to make sure all Lodge publications to members are posted on the web.

Attends all executive committee and Lodge meetings, calling the appropriate officer when a legitimate reason prevents from attending a function. Always provides a report for each meeting.
What is Communications?
The Communications Committee consists of three parts: the website (monaken.org), publications ("The Monaken"), and the email system ("Parcel"). The Communications Committee publishes "The Monaken" 5 times each year and updates the website on what seems like a moments notice.

Have any pictures of Lodge Brothers hard at work or having a lot of fun? If so, please email them to Jon Cherry at web@oamonaken.org, be sure to include: your name, names of Brothers in the picture, and the event where it was taken at. You never know, they may end up on the next issue of "The Monaken" or on the Lodge Website.
