Job Description

  1. The chairman is responsible to the Lodge Second vice Chief.

  2. Encourages camping within scout units.

  3. Is encouraged to attend monthly Camping Committee Meetings.

  4. Produces and maintains Camping Promotion materials.

  5. Coordinates materials with the Chapter visitation teams and the Relation committee for promoting camping.

  6. Publishes a “Where to Go Camping” booklet every two to four years and provides for distribution to every troop and venture post.

  7. Attends all executive committee and Lodge meetings, calling the appropriate officer when a legitimate reason prevents from attending a function.  Always provides a report for each meeting and submits important information to Communications.

Goals:

  • Look over the "Where to go Camping Guide" and tell anything that you see fit to change to either Donnie Fogleman or Fred McClain.
  • Developing a new handout for the visitations teams to use
  • Contacting Out of Council Troops from the last 3 years who attended 7Mtns.
  • Working with the 7Mtns Camp Director to create a weekly special event for the camping season
