2009 Camp Kick Off Form Available
Monaken Lodge will host the 4th Annual Camp Kick Off Saturday February 21, 2009 (during the Pow Wow). This form is for Scout Masters and Cub Masters to fill out and submit to the Council Office.

New Unit Election Forms Posted
The 2009 Unit Election forms have been posted. There are minor updates to both the Youth and Adult forms. Unit Leaders should download and print as many forms as they need. To review the eligiblity process, please click here
New OA High Adventure Program Available: OA Canadian Odyssey
The Order of the Arrow Committee has introduced the OA Canadian Odyssey program to the already successful High Adventure Programs they offer. This journey brings Arrowmen to the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario for two weeks.
NE-3A Section Chief Dan Higham Elected National Vice Chief
At the National Planning Meeting December 28-30, newly elected National and Regional Officers were elected by all the Section Chiefs in the OA. For more on the biographies of the new officers and to find out who the rest of the officers are, stay tuned to www.oa-bsa.org

The newest issue of the Monaken is now available for download. This issue includes pictures from previous Lodge events, the Rimmey Rededication, upcoming Council Events, 2008 Founders Award Recipients, and Executive Board Reports.
Pay your 2009 Lodge Dues Online!
You are now able to pay your 2009 dues online! The cost is $10.00 a member and $20.00 if you are catching up (if your dues are last paid on 2007 or before). There is a service fee that will be assessed for paying with credit but there is no fee for paying by check.
Order your Rimmey Lodge Chenille Patch
All members of the Order of the Arrow can now order the 25th Anniversary Rimmey Lodge Chenille patch. Download the order form, fill it out, and members can either mail it (along with payment) to the Council Office or submit it at the next Lodge weekend . The patch costs $25.00 and members can order as many as they like. Orders will be taken up until April 1, 2009 and the delivery date will be May 1, 2009.
Seven Mountains 75th and JVC 80th Anniversary Gala Meeting
The next meeting of the Seven Mountains 75th and JVC 80th Anniversary Gala will be held Sunday, December 14 at 2pm in the Dining Hall at Camp Seven Mountains. All Brothers, Scouts, and Scouters are encouraged to attend this meeting to give input for the Gala held in 2009.
Mitch and Cherry Receives Founders Award
At the Family Banquet held November 9, Dave Mitch and Jon Cherry both received the Founders Award. The Lodge presents, each year, to one youth and one adult for their service to the Lodge.

Updated Information on NOAC 2009
NOAC 2009 will be held August 1-6, 2009 at the Indiana State University. The National Committee has released information regarding NOAC and Monaken Lodge will have more information available regarding the Contingent in a few months.
Lodge Launches new Email System
Monaken Lodge has launched its new email system called "Parcel." Members can subscribe to the email system on the right hand side of the page. All previous subscribers of the Monaken2 system will not transfer over.

Presidential Volunteer Service Award

The Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America has been approved as an Official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. Each of you may go to the PVSA website and sign up to track your volunteer service under the OA's record of service key. You need to enter the Order of the Arrow's service key when signing up, which is: VGH-33042.

Update: Lodge Leadership and Development Conference
The 2008 Monaken Lodge Leadership and Development Conference will be held Saturday October 11 at the LUMINA Center in Lewistown. Registration will begin at 7:30am and the event will conclude at roughly 8:00pm. More information, including registration, is available here.

Monaken Lodge releases its brand new website. Included in this redesign are some brand new features and pages.
Monaken Launches Cub Scouting Website
Continuing it's dedication to Cub Scouting, Monaken Lodge is pleased to announce the creation of a cub scout website. This website will give leaders, parents, and cubs information on Cub Scouting, its programs, and the transition to Boy Scouts.
Update: 2008-2009 Lodge Executive Board
The 2008-2009 Lodge Executive Board has just been announced. The board includes appointed Committee Chairman and Advisers; Chapter Chiefs, vice Chiefs, and Advisers along with Lodge Officers who were elected at the Fall Ordeal August 24. Their term begins October 1 and will continue until September 30.
Monaken Lodge to rededicate Rimmey Lodge
At the Woodchuck Ordeal, October 18, Monaken Lodge will rededicate the Rimmey Lodge cabin. The cabin, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversay.
2008 Vigil Class completes Ordeal
