What is the OA?

The Order of the Arrow is a recognized official program activity of the Boy Scouts of America, intended to recognize those scouts who best exemplify the scout virtues of cheerful service, camping, and leadership.

New Arrowmen Resources

Congratulations on your induction into the Order of the Arrow, and welcome to Monaken Lodge! You learned a lot about the OA at your Ordeal; the Jumpstart continues your orientation at home. There you will find helpful information and explanation as you continue the path to Brotherhood. You will need your OA Handbook to enter the site, so be sure to have it handy.

#ChooseOA brings us back to why we chose to be part of this brotherhood. It's different for every Arrowman, which goes to show the many benefits of involvement. We're all here for a reason, and #ChooseOA is about sharing that reason with parents, Scoutmasters, professionals, younger Scouts, and Cub Scouts.

You’re a member of the brotherhood of cheerful service in Central Pennsylvania. Our rich history of promoting responsible outdoor adventure, developing leaders, and crystallizing the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.
