Enter for your chance to attend Prism

Update: With the postponement of the Klondike Derby, the drawing will still occur Saturday, January 23. The winners will be notified if their name was drawn.

This summer, National Order of the Arrow is hosting a once-in-a-century event at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Mount Hope, West Virginia called Prism.

Arrowmen attendees, both youth and adults, will have access to all of the activities in the Scott Summit Center, and will give back to SBR through a small service project. Prism’s defining experience will be the inaugural re-dedication ceremony of the Summit Circle, which was relocated from Treasure Island outside of Philadelphia.

Registration is only $180 and includes seven meals, tents, cots, program materials, and a commemorative patch.

Guest can choose from one of seven sessions:

  • June 19-22, 2016
  • June 22-25, 2016
  • June 26-29, 2016
  • June 29-July 2, 2016
  • July 3-6, 2016
  • July 6-9, 2016
  • July 13-16, 2016

This once-and-a-century event is currently limited to eight Arrowmen (youth and adults) from each lodge. Monaken Lodge has chosen to hold a drawing to determine who receives the tickets. Four youth and four adults will be drawn. The drawing will be held during the Klondike Derby, January 23, at Seven Mountains Scout Camp.

If you are interested in attending Prism and want to be entered in the drawing, email your interest to Ed Smoyer at esmoyer@earthlink.net no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, January 22. The drawing will take place at the Klondike Derby and the winners will be given their tickets at that event.

If you win a ticket, you must then register on the Prism website (prism.oa-bsa.org)  no later than February 5, 2016. After February 5th, all unclaimed tickets nationally will be entered into a national drawing. To enter the national drawing for unclaimed tickets, visit prism.oa-bsa.org.

Registration, travel, and other costs are the responsibility of the ticket recipient. Monaken Lodge and the Juniata Valley Council cannot be held responsible for those chosen in the drawing and do not register by February 5, 2016.

If you have any questions or concerns email Zachary Bonson at zjbonson@gmail.com or visit the Prism website at prism.oa-bsa.org.
