Spring Mills, Pa — Nate Ripka was re-elected Lodge Chief for Monaken Lodge during the Open Lodge meeting held at the end of the Fall Ordeal on August 13. He has become the first two-term chief for the lodge since 2008.
Ripka has been a member of Monaken Lodge since 2010 when he became an Ordeal member. In 2015, Ripka was chosen to become a Vigil Honor member. Ripka received the Arrowman Service Award in 2015 and was chosen by his fellow Arrowmen to receive the Founder’s Award.
Ripka has served in a number of positions within Nittany Chapter and the lodge since becoming a member of the OA. He has served as both Vice Chief and Chapter Chief of Nittany Chapter and in the lodge, he served as Troop Relations Chairman, Lodge Treasurer, and First Vice Chief for two terms.
Congratulations to Nate and to all of the other officers elected to both lodge and chapter positions at the Fall Ordeal.
The incoming officers and the rest of the Executive Board begin their terms on October 1, 2017 and will continue through September 30, 2018. The Executive Board will reorganize at the Lodge Leadership Development Conference (LLDC) held on October 1, 2017.
